Meet Jesus
at University
Did you know there’s a group of Christian students at almost every campus around Australia? They would love to meet you and help you Meet Jesus. Explore to find your local group.
So at every major university across Australia there are Christians who get together in a range of ways to do just that. We've got weekly Bible talks (a bit like seminars) where you can soak up the juicy truths passively in the back row, and we've got weekly Bible study groups (a bit like tutorials) for those who prefer a smaller crowd and a safe space to share your own thoughts and questions. Occasionally, we might also be seen doing fun things involving beach balls, spike balls, ballrooms and (of course) coffee.
We’ve been around since the first evangelical group of students formed at Sydney University in 1930. Since then, we’ve sprung up all over the place. Each of our campus groups have their own name - on your campus you might find us as the Evangelical Students, or the Christian Union, or the Uni Bible Group… If it’s with AFES, then that’s us. We’re not under any formal Church denomination, but partner with thousands of local churches across the country who also love the Bible and love using our brains to better understand the love God has shown us in dying for us when we were sinners. So we welcome people from every faith and background, and love chatting with people who are curious to learn more about Jesus.

All over Australia, there are churches where Christians would love to listen to your questions, and introduce you to Jesus - no matter your background. We’ve included a list on this site, to help you find a safe and friendly place to explore.
You can Meet Jesus on your own any time - by reading the Bible. To help you, try out Uncover John - a guided tour through one of the key books in the Bible, written by Jesus’s close friend John.
